Why EMS?

Do you recognise this situation? At the beginning of the year, you are determined to change your whole system to be able to work more efficiently, but in June nothing has been done. All the planned improvements have come to nothing and you have not made any steps towards more insight, shorter hours and sustainable golf course management. When you work with EMS, the whole process is taken out of your hands. This way, you can meet your year-end targets without it costing extra time.

Working on sustainable management

EMS assists you in realising your policies.

How?

EMS translates a general policy theme to concrete target values. When your ambition is to have a measure of 8 on the stimp, you can evaluate periodically on the basis of this measure whether the stimp meets the target. You can do this by use of forms in the EMS system. EMS links these results directly to the set targets and makes progress visible on the dashboard. This way, you can follow progress step by step. In EMS, you can indicate which efforts are necessary to achieve the desired results.

Results

You are able to make considered choices in management and maintenance on the basis of costs. Investments and costs can also be substantiated on the basis of figures.

Finance at a glance

EMS gives you a complete overview of your financial position.

How?

EMS translates work, use and costs of machinery in Euros. EMS also specifies, per element or management group what the management costs are on a yearly basis or in a particular period. This way, you are able to see what a round of golf costs. You can set this off against the price of your green fees and you will know what your margin is on a round of golf, but also how much it costs on a yearly basis to maintain 20 bunkers. In addition, it provides insight into what you have to budget for the following year.

Efficient deployment of personnel

EMS ensures that you use your available hours on the basis of a realistic planning.

How?

You make a basic planning for the hours that you wish to reserve for maintenance. For the greens, you could, for instance, reserve 800 hours on a yearly basis and 400 for tees. EMS sets off this planning against the number of man hours available. This way, you can see weekly whether you have the capacity to carry out the planned work.

Results

EMS provides a balanced year planning in which overtime is limited as much as possible and seasonal personnel can be planned in timely and efficiently.

Secure your GEO certification

EMS collects the facts and figures to get you through your next audit effortlessly.

How?

GEO asks you to provide insight into how you work on sustainable management. With EMS you give this substance by setting out your sustainability targets, how you are going to carry these out, who is responsible and which results you are aiming towards. The sustainability working group only needs to consult the EMS dashboard to see which actions are planned and what has already been carried out. You can divide the GEO trajectory into management pieces that you complete step by step. This provides clear interim results. All figures, targets and results are entered into the system; from energy and water usage to fertilisation data, from increasing bio-diversity in the rough to the results of the bird count.

Results

EMS compiles all data with regard to GEO as a clear report that you can submit during the audit.

Calculate how much your machinery costs

With EMS, you determine the right moment to replace a machine.

How?

In EMS, you make a list of your machines with the registration of purchase price and depreciation costs. You indicate per machine which maintenance is necessary, think of maintenance hours and external repairs by a mechanic. EMS makes a maintenance card for each machine, where you register failures, maintenance and costs. This way, you determine, after a period, whether certain repairs are still worthwhile or whether it would be better to purchase a new machine.

Results

You make optimal use of your machinery and replace machines at the right moment on the basis of a good records and a considered choice. When selling a machine, you are able able to provide the maintenance history.

Visualize data on a digital map of your course

With EMS you do not need to consult lists, but you can call up all management information from a specific area by clicking on the map of your course.

How?

On the map, the areas of the various playing elements are registered. For every registration, you can link an area to a specific element. EMS collects all information regarding that area and is able, where necessary, to make a link to the measurement of the surface areas. For instance, when you register the amount of fertiliser used and link this to an area, EMS will show the amount of fertiliser used per acre.

Results

Your management information can be consulted through the map of your course. If you wish to know the status of the management of a particular area, you can click this on the map and EMS will show you all management information that you have linked to this area.
